Financial Breakdown

Paul Scates was sexually abused as a boy, and then, while still a teenager, raped by two men. He subsequently suffered a terrible breakdown, which led to him trying to kill himself when he was 16. Now a tireless campaigner against child sexual abuse, Scates says ‘the system is still failing’ to give victims a voice. Scates ran the 2017 London Marathon with his father whom he credits for saving his life.
