Max Gomez was studying neuroscience at university and realised that he was suffering from some learning challenges (ADHD and dyslexia). He became fascinated in how he could build products to help people to improve their wellbeing. Two years after college, he suffered some huge changes in his life and he suffered a bout of deep, dark depression. But after his therapist taught him breathing exercises, Max was astonished at how immediate the changes were in his body and mind. As a result, he decided to create an app to help people tap into the power of breath practice. The result was Breathwrk. “We call it the remote control to your nervous system: with breath practice you can affect the way your body and mind works.”
