“What is purpose?” asks social innovator Jon Duschinsky. It’s not only the thing that “lights us up”; it’s also the determination to do something about it. We have got really good at believing things have to be a certain way, but when you strip all those assumptions away, it’s scary. “But that’s the journey we need to take in order to unlock the leadership we know we can contribute to the world,” he says. “Everyone has a cause – something they want to get up in the morning and fight for.” The power comes when we’re aligned with our cause and the work we do. “We have to be about more than just profit and going through the motions,” says Jon.
