Depression doesn’t define me, Oliver Chittenden

Trailer Full video

Two years after Head Talks’ launch, we turn to founder Oliver Chittenden to hear his own story of his mental health struggles. Now meditation is key, especially the discipline of making it a part of a daily routine, adding that 10 day silent retreats have been a game-changer. Oliver is also a fan of cold-water swimming. “I’ve started writing letters to my depression which has been a really interesting exercise. You’re saying to the depression ‘you’re not me’ and reinforcing your own identity, not a perceived weakness.” Ultimately, he finds his work at Head Talks to be hugely fulfilling, seeing the impact it has on people’s lives.
