Like most of us, Canadian journalist Carl Honore used to be obsessed with speed. Cramming as much as possible into his waking hours. But when he started speed-reading bedtime stories to his son, he realized something needed to change. ‘We hurry through life instead of living it.’ While writing several international best-sellers about the Slow Movement, Honore discovered that taking it more slowly not only makes us mentally and physically healthier, but, surprisingly, also much more productive.
